Job attended Saturday 18th march Female Choice Plumbing, Adelaide Hills. Today an after hours call came through with a customer from Albert Road, Mount Barker. They were having problems with the blocked toilet, the water in the bowl was filling up each time it was flushed and would make a strange noise. We attended with our electric drain machine which was placed down the drain and an extensive amount of tree roots were removed. The drain camera was place in the drain to see the cause as we felt the sewer pipe may have been broken due to the large amount of roots removed. The drain camera reviled numerous breakages which we showed the client and quote for this to be replaced should there be ongoing problems with drain. However cutting out the roots from the drain has solved this temporarily and they are able to used there toilet.
It’s almost impossible to have a plumber attend on the weekend, fortunately for our customer, our plumbers are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week for almost any general maintenance plumbing enquiry. Our plumber was able to clear the blockage by using a high water pressure machine known as the hydro jet, however upon clearing the blockage, our plumber also identified that there was a large amount of cement which was poured down the drain which was causing the drain to block so often.
Once clearing the drain, our plumber provided the customer with a quote in order to resolve the drainage issue to prevent a reoccurring blockage, which was valid for 30 days. Our customer was very happy with the fact that we provided her with a same day solution as well as a long term solution!
